In many ways, Planet Bike began as a social experiment that dedicated itself to doing business in a different way. Instead of being just another company that develops and sells products with profit as its end goal, Planet Bike wanted to help bring about positive change for people, their communities, and the environment. Despite being a simple machine, the people at Planet Bike have always believed that the bicycle has great potential to help improve the world and the lives of the people in it. From the start, they have embraced an alternative corporate purpose which seeks to help get more people on bicycles by making communities friendlier places for the self-propelled. By donating 25% of company profits to causes that promote and facilitate bicycle usage, Planet Bike hopes to make an impact. Social experiments aside, Planet Bike was born from the heart of a cyclist with a goal of making innovative, high quality, and practical bicycle accessories. Simply put, they strive to design and develop the best bicycle products in the world. In the company's short ten year history, they have made important product innovations within the bicycle industry. Advancements include the 4-line computer which is now a standard in the industry and the world's first self-contained HID light. Not bad for a company that ten years ago started as a one man operation. Today, while still a small company, Planet Bike continues to evolve and improve their product line with the goal of always striving to build accessories that make it easier for people to ride their bikes. Since 1996, Planet Bike's financial support of the grassroots bicycle movement has totaled $500,000. By 2010, they have made a goal to donate $1 million to organizations that are dedicated to making America a friendlier place for cyclists.

This wireless Bike computer works quite well August 31, 2010 Sol Rothenberg (livonia,mi) The Wireless computer works quite well. You only have to be careful the unit is not pushed and stock on the reset direction.
Great and Affordable Bike Computer August 24, 2010 Hadad Great bike computer. I like that all the important data is display at once. The only thing I can complain is that it is a bit difficult to remove the computer from the bracket.
Great product, great price. August 14, 2010 Captainbob (Atlanta) I installed this on my Recumbent Trike, and it works great. The installation was pretty straight forward, all you had to do was read the directions and follow them. It was easy to program, much easier than my last computer, a Trek, and the display has everything you would need to know during a ride. I had no trouble aligning the magnet and transmitter, and actually got it first shot after about 1 minute of adjusting.
My one concern was, would this work in combination with a Polar Heart rate Monitor, because I have had other wireless computers where the computer and the heart rate monitor interfered with each other. I put my Polar unit on, fired up the computer, and there was no interference from one to another. Excellent product at a great price.
Planet Bike Protege 9.0 July 27, 2010 Yoyo (Richland, WA) Using on my mountain bike. No issues with cell phone interference or loss of transmitter sensor signal. Some difficulty in mounting the sensor close enough to get the signal from the magnet without hitting the spokes. I'm sure I will get it adjusted fine. Went on 24 mile ride on ex-railroad trail in Idaho and local wilderness trails in Richland, WA. Works great, glad I got this unit. Thermometer is inaccurate, but no big deal. Easy to read even with 56 year old eyes. I like this unit better than my wired computer on my road bike.
Most Readable Wireless Bike Computer July 26, 2010 srwanha First of all the Planet Bike Protege 9.0 Wireless 9-Function bike computer is by far the easiest to read and to use thanks to its' large screen. Secondly it is by far the most reasonbly priced unit on the market!
